Dominic and Laura Harding are relieved after they got back their pet unharmed after a spin in the washing machine. The five-month-old Tomcat Reefa climbed into the washing machine at his house in Ipswich. The owners were unaware of it until the washing machine started and they heard the distress cries of their pet. Though they switched off the machine, they could not open the door and get the cat out. Hence the firefighters had to be called to rescue the trapped creature.

Mr. Harding said that since the cat had curled up into a ball and it was black in colour too, he did not see the creature inside the machine. When they heard the cries they started searching for him, unaware of the fact that he was right there inside the washing machine. Once they spotted him inside the machine, thy stopped the mains and tried top open the door, but could not succeed and called for firefighters.

Once taken out, the cat was totally drenched and its feet dangling. His owner confirms that the pet is fine and is back to its mischievous ways. The couple was all thanks for the firefighters who came and rescued a cat from the washing machine!

This is not the first time that such a thing has happened. There have been similar incidents in the past, like last month, a German tabby was found in similar state and had to be rescued by the Firefighters. In another incident a cats head got stuck in a wheel and was rescued after three hours by the firefighters.
