It is been found out that washing machine has got Silver Nanoparticles. The particles are small than individual HIV virus, measuring less than of 100 nanometer. It is been said that when these particles comes in contact with the microbes can kill them. Darin Furgeson, researcher said that the nanosilver can cause severe injury to fish embryo and thereby affecting the ecosystem. He added that in one of his experiments at laboratory, zebra fish embryos were exposed to silver nano particles and discovered that some of the fish died while some showed mutative variations. Eyes, tails and other body parts of fish were found to be deformed.

The nanoparticles ejected from the washing machines is said to affect both the fish habitats and drinking water supplies. Zebra fish has got same organs and tissues as humans including liver, kidney and heart except that they don’t have lungs said Furgeson. His experiments also warns us about the danger of nanosilver to humans. Not only washing machines contain nanoparticles , even toys, refrigerators, socks and many more contains this harmful property.
