South Hampton Roads residents are been provided with free drop off laundry service by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board today. The clothes of the residents were damaged due to the nor’easter that struck the streets last week. Volunteers have taken the responsibility for the wash and dry service. People who have lost or misplaced their washing machine can make use of this free service for washing clothes, light blankets and sheet towels.
Heavy laundry will not be accepted for washing, also the dry cleaning service will not be encouraged. People are requested to come with identification to prove that they are the residents of the affected area to avail the service. Also the laundry should be put into a separate bag and dropped at Ocean View Baptist Church, 9504 Selby Place Norfolk from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. The service is available only for today.
