This year the washing market of UK recorded increased sales when compared to the performance of the Major Appliance categories. The slow down of the housing market has badly affected the market. In spite of the volume descent, the value is maintained by the replacement purchases which depicted about 7% decline last year. Washing machines having a large capacity, more then 7 kg has showed a 17% increased market growth which is the talk of the town for this year.

The increase could also be because of the manufacturers as the high capacity models are made available in lot. This also means that the housings are in need of greater wash capacity. The acceptance of large machines has deceased the stem value this year for up to £286m in the overall market. The summer sale with attractive price deals has escalated the washing machine market there by rendering replacement cycle. Last year, the August bank holiday sales indicated 8% increase in the value.
