Experts warn that the many children are been poised accidentally through the detergent capsules. When the children bite the colorful capsules, they get serious burns in throat, eyes and skin and needed emergency hospital treatment. According to the Child Accident Prevention Trust, many parents are unaware that the highly concentrated detergent and cleaners kept under the sink triggers risk to the children. It also says that the gel capsules bearing hazardous chemicals are rarely sold in child resistant boxes.
Each year, under the age group of 14, about 100 children were admitted in the hospitals who were poised by detergents and soaps. Katrina Phillips, Chief Executive of Procter & Gamble manufacturer said that haptic nature and slight smell of these detergents make them attractive to children.
